NEWTOWN welcome fallen Welsh football giants Rhyl to Latham Park in the fourth round of the JD Welsh Cup on Saturday.
The Robins go into the game on a high having secured a top six place in the JD Cymru Premier.
Meanwhile Rhyl arrive on the back of a 7-1 thrashing of Llanfair United in the JD Cymru North.
However the North Wales club also faces an uncertain future with doubts over their continued tenancy of their historic Belle Vue ground.
Manager Chris Hughes looked forward to the Welsh Cup challenge.
“We will need to play better than we did against Airbus last week,” said Hughes.
“Rhyl will come down here aiming to complete an upset so we will have to be at our best.”
Hughes insisted the club still had plenty to play for despite having attained its main target of securing top six football for the remainder of the season.
“At the start of the season we set ourselves a target of finishing in the top six and reaching at least the quarter-finals of the Welsh Cup,” said Hughes.
“It is a fantastic competition and the the players want a good cup run this season.”
