TNS have targeted new signings ahead of their top of the table clash at home to Connahs Quay Nomads on Saturday.

Manager Scott Ruscoe confirmed offers had been made but no movement was expected before the weekend.

“All I can say is watch this space because we are trying to bring reinforcements in but we have a few weeks left yet so in no rush,” said Ruscoe who insisted the focus remained on the challenge of Nomads.

“We are in a very good position and we’re actually in a better position than we were this time last season.

“We are playing the top teams every week, and with them facing each other a lot, teams will be dropping points.”

TNS go into the game having easily overcome Newtown last week.

“We moved the ball well and played as well as have done in several months. We controlled the game, scored some good goals and did not let them into the match.”

Ruscoe expected another tough test against the Nomads and despite the high stakes the Saints chief relished the prospect.

TNS could extend their lead to four points with victory over the full-time Deeside based club.

“We’re at home and momentum is with us so I’m really looking forward to the game.”
