NEWTOWN are back in front of the cameras on Saturday with bottom of the table Airbus UK Broughton the visitors in the JD Cymru Premier match of the day.

Once again the S4C cameras will be on hand for the live match of the day with the entire JD Cymru Premier programme kicking off simultaneously at 5.15pm as the first phase of the campaign draws to a close.

The Robins go into the match knowing a point will be enough to cement their place in the top six and avoid dropping into the dreaded relegation conference.

Should Newtown slip up against the Wingmakers then either Cardiff Metropolitan or Cefn Druids could capitalise and sneak into the top six by virtue of victories at home to Caernarfon Town or Bala Town respectively.

However as it stands Newtown remain in the strongest position and favourites to be the final club to secure a place in the top six.

Newtown go into the game on the back of last week’s defeat at home to league leaders TNS with the Robins failing to test the Oswestry side who totally dominated the match.

However lowly Airbus UK Broughton currently prop up the table following a miserable return to the top flight with Newtown going into the game as massive favourites to claim the points which would assure the club of their unbroken JD Cymru Premier status for another season.

Hughes said: “We have been on a great run of form and if we get enough points on the board we will be in the top six which is our aim every season.”
