LLANDYSUL Football Club will add Swansea City legend John Cornforth to their management team next month.

The 52 year old former Sunderland, Swansea City, Wycombe Wanderers and Exeter City star will co-manage the Swallows alongside manager Gareth Winston on the weekend of February 29.

Winston said: "It will be a good insight for our players and club to see what it is like to be managed by a professional footballer and manager and would also be good for local football.

Following a successful 16 year playing career the midfielder managed Exeter City, Torquay United and Newport County while also coaching abroad.

However it is the Swans the North East born star is most fondly remembered and part of the club's 'Wall of Fame' at the Liberty Stadium.

During his managerial career at Exeter City he worked under owners Uri Gellar and Michael Jackson and released former Manchester United, Leeds United and England winger Lee Sharpe.

Following the game a Q&A will be held at the club pavilion with food and beverages available and admission £7.
