LLANFAIR United continue to prop up JD Cymru North following defeat at home to Gresford Athletic.
A tight opening at Mount Field saw the hosts threaten after 14 minutes with Paul Griffiths’ low curling effort forcing Gresford goalkeeper Jon Hill-Dunt into action.
Meanwhile Joe Chaplin fired wide and Harvey Ellis tested home goalkeeper Mark Richards for the Wrexham side as the match ended goalless at the break.
Gresford made the breakthrough on the hour with Jake Eyre seizing upon Gethin Stephens’ misplaced headed clearance to break the deadlock.
Richards denied Danny Holland before the visitors wrapped up the spoils with two goals in as many minutes.
Holland’s lofted shot doubled the tally on 79 minutes and with the hosts still reeling the visitors added a third with Jordan MacCarter following up to net after Eyre was denied by the crossbar.to settle the outcome.
