RADNOR Valley make history on Saturday with the visit of Welshpool Town in the fifth round of the Welsh Trophy.

The MMP-NL Mid Wales League One club has never reached the last 16 of the competition before having booked their place with victory over Mold Alexandra in the last round.

A club spokesman said: “Our results have been a little indifferent over the past few weeks purely down to the inconsistency or frequency of matches.

“We go into this game knowing our opposition and where we need to be to get something out of the game.

“Training has been intense this week and the players are up for the fight.

“The management have some selection issues with long term injuries and holidays but have 15 players available to them.

“We appreciate the support of Dale Gorman and his family at the The Royal Oak, Presteigne for sponsoring the game.

“This is an important game for the club and hope the crowds will come along and support us.”
