NEWBRIDGE travel to Borth United in MMP-NL Mid Wales League Two on Saturday with the villagers facing a mounting injury list.

Goalkeeper Fin Duncan-McKane is joined by Ollie Woods, Alex Hicks and Ryan Powell in facing fitness tests while Aled Powell is suspended.

Manager Scott Davies said: “ It is always tough at Borth, especially in the winter months.

“It’s tight at the top so we want to get back to winning way and keep the pressure on Penparcau and Machynlleth.”

Penparcau host Knighton Town aiming to return to winning ways after two defeats over Christmas while Rhayader Town host Abermule.

Manager Dai Davies said: “We’re looking to make a good start to 2020 after a good December that brought the top three back into contention.

“We need to be at our best in January to keep piling the pressure on the leaders.

“It will be a tough game but one we are looking forward to and we definitely don’t underestimate the tough challenge we face.”

Forden United travel to Presteigne with manager Jonny Roberts wary of an upset.

“We know Presteigne won’t be an easy match but we’re hoping our good form can continue with a positive result,” said Roberts.

Meanwhile Waterloo Rovers travel to the returning Aberystwyth University, Dolgellau entertain Churchstoke and Dyffryn Banw welcome title chasing Machynlleth to Cae Morfa .
