TNS 2 Cefn Druids 1

DEAN Ebbe came off the bench to net a late winner and keep TNS top of the table going into 2020.

Cefn Druids arrived at Park Hall desperate to avenge Boxing Day's 5-0 thumping in Boxing Day's reverse fixture and a tight opening ensued.

Ryan Brobbel tested Druids goalkeeper Mike Jones after 10 minutes while Max Peate's powerful headed effort forced Saints stopper Paul Harrison into action soon after.

The visitors survived a let off 10 minutes before the break with Blaine Hudson's effort cleared off the line by Mike Pritchard.

It was a similar story after the break with Pritchard testing Harrison before opposite number Jones saved at the feet of Jon Routledge.

TNS cranked up the pressure with Jones forced into action to deny Adrian Cieslewicz and Danny Redmond before Druids broke the deadlock against the run of play with Tyrone Ofori swivelling home on 65 minutes.

TNS rang the changes and almost levelled with 10 minutes remaining with substitute Ebbe's headed effort cleared off the line by ex-Saint Naim Arsan.

With a minute remaining the hosts levelled with Greg Draper following up to net after Redmond's cross struck the bar.

TNS were not done yet and with seconds remaining Ebbe nodded home Brobbel's cross to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
