NEWTOWN and Aberystwyth Town proved inseparable in a goalless draw at a misty Latham Park on Boxing Day.

The Robins started brightly with George Harry and Lufimpa Mwandwe forcing Aberystwyth goalkeeper Connor Roberts into action while Niall Flint also curled wide for the hosts.

However the second-half proved a much tighter affair with both sides enjoying spells of possession.

Alex Fletcher rattled the bar with a 25 yard free-kick on 66 minutes and the Robins ended the match on top.

Jack Kelly's left wing cross was turned wide by Harry while Neil Mitchell also spurned a late chance with a glancing header as Newtown ended the match frustrated.

Elsewhere TNS ran riot in a 5-0 win at Cefn Druids to stay top of the table.

Danny Redmond and Adrian Cieslewicz struck in the first-half before Greg Draper's second-half hat-trick completed a comfortably win for the Oswestry side.

MMP-MWL One

LLANIDLOES Town claimed the local bragging rights with a 3-2 win at Caersws on Boxing Day.

Meanwhile Berriew stormed to a 6-0 win at Kerry with Joe Haycock netting twice while Jonathan Jones, George Mitten, Steffan Rogers and Andy Evans completing the scoring.

Aberaeron and Bow Street shared the spoils with a goalless draw while Llandrindod Wells edged a 2-1 win at home to Builth Wells with goals from Robbie Nicholls and Mike Collister cancelling a reply from Greg Preece.

MMP-MWL Two

ALEX Morgan starred with a double as Forden United prevailed 3-1 winners at Waterloo Rovers.

Steve Roberts completed the Forden tally while Adam Gough replied for the Welshpool hosts.

Rhayader Town shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw with Newbridge with Jamie Evans netting for the Red Kites while Knighton Town won the East Radnor derby with a 4-3 win at home to Presteigne.

Dyffryn Banw staged an upset with a 3-1 win at home to a previously unbeaten Penparcau while Dolgellau and Machynlleth battled out a 3-3 draw at Cae Marian.

The hosts led 3-0 before Mach staged a comeback with Jac Petrie and a Richie Evans double earning a share of the spoils.
