WATERLOO Rovers will renew rivalries with Forden United in the MMP-NL Mid Wales League Two Boxing Day derby at Maesydre.

The fixture is expected to attract a large crowd with both sides keen to gain local bragging rights.

Rovers spokesman Dave Proctor said: “Everyone at the club is looking Forward to this derby game as we have not played Forden for quite a few seasons, it promises to be a great game.”

Meanwhile Forden United are relishing the short trip in their first ever Boxing Day fixture having stepped up to the MMP-NL Mid Wales League this season.

Manager Jonny Roberts said: “As a club we’re excited to be participating in Boxing Day fixtures for the first time.

“Waterloo are doing really well in the league so we’re looking forward to a tough game.

“Hopefully we can take some momentum into the match from our cup win last week.”

Dyffryn Banw host unbeaten Penparcau while Dolgellau welcome Machynlleth to Cae Marian.

Machynlleth manager Luke Holt said: “We are looking forward to another good test against a strong Dolgellau side as we push forward in our league campaign after a few weeks off.”
