A HOST of Powys sports clubs are celebrating Christmas early after being included in the latest round of grant aid announced.
The grants are available through the Sportlot Community Chest, the Sports Council for Wales National Lottery funded grant aid scheme.
Among the beneficiaries is Builth Wells Junior Rugby Club with £1,500 toward coach education, equipment and facility hire while Llanidloes Rugby Club has received £1,490 toward coach education ad equipment.
Builth Wells based Bulls Cycling Club has been awarded £1,500 toward education and equipment while Disability Powys will receive £1,270.
Guilsfield Short Mat Bowls Club has been granted £1,500, Llanidloes Tennis Club has been allocated £1,490, Mid Wales Meteors Basketball Club will benefit from £1,500, Elan Valley Angling Association has netted £1,330 and Presteigne Hockey Club has been granted £270.
