MID Wales was well represented at the North Wales regional trials in Wrexham earlier this month.

Six up and coming players from the region linked up with their North Wales peers at the Football Association of Wales training centre at Colliers Park in Wrexham.

Newtown academy players Llewellyn Jarman and Lewis Jones were joined by Harvey Morris and Cole Robinson in the the under 14s squad along with TNS duo Callum Jones and Jake Morris.

Also in action at Colliers Park were Mid Wales based coaches Paul Inns and Gareth Watkins who were are involved in the coaching of the tier one and two squads.

Newtown under 14s academy lead coach Lee Stephens expressed his delight at Mid Wales players being recognised and called up for regional camps.

Stephens said: “It’s great to see players from Mid Wales being recognised and hopefully it will continue to develop.

“The squad have a number of training days before playing in the Cymru Cup.”
