NEWTOWN prevailed in a hard-fought top of the table clash at home to Mold in the North East Wales Youth League.
Morgan Jones’ try, converted by Tom Jerman, was just enough for Town to celebrate a 7-5 win at home to the Wrexham visitors and cement top spot for Christmas.
After the game the two sides were united in a food drive to donate to the Newtown Salvation Army and help less well off families to enjoy their Christmas.
