MEMBERS of the St Giles Golf Club senior section have celebrated the end of another successful year.
The Newtown club held its Christmas party and presentation evening at the clubhouse earlier in the month which was well attended by members.
Brian Arthur won the top award, the Golfer of the Year accolade, which he received from Gerald Wilkinson.
Meanwhile the Centenary Cup was won by John Cufley with senior captain Brian Arthur making the presentation.
The Group of Six Trophy winners were Hugh Jones, Brian Arthur, Andrew Stanley, Mike Davies, David Bridgewater and John Cufley.
Club members also applauded greenkeeper Steve Tanner who received recognition for all his hard work in maintaining the St Giles course throughout 2019.
