Llandudno 4 Penrhyncoch 0

PENRHYNCOCH'S stubborn resistance was finally worn down as Llandudno battled to the points at Maesdu Park.

The resurgent Seasiders have hit their best form following a poor start to the campaign and probed early on with chances for Lewis Sirrell and Alfons Fosu-Mensah.

Dean Seagar also went close for the hosts but Penrhyn dug in to remain on terms at the break.

Penrhyncoch's resistance was broken seven minutes into the second-half with captain Danny Hughes lashing home a cross from Sirrell.

Five minutes later the hosts doubled their lead with Anthony Marshall meeting Robbie Parry's corner to head beyond goalkeeper Leigh Jenkins.

Man of the match Fosu-Mensah proved a thorn in Penrhyn's side all day and the talisman added a third on the hour with a surging run from midfield before slotting home.

With the match done and dusted the home side rang the changes while the threadbare Mid Wales side looked to limit further damage.

However Llandudno continued to press and increased their lead with 15 minutes remaining with Seagar converting a penalty to complete their tally.

To their credit the Roosters continued to battle but to no avail as Llandudno comfortably saw out the remainder of the contest.
