NATHAN Leonard has been unveiled as the new manager of FC Oswestry Town.
Leonard stepped down as director of football at JD Cymru North side Guilsfield to take on the role at the English North West Counties minnows after Matt Burton stepped down this week.
Leonard paid tribute to Burton who leaves Park Hall with the club top of the table.
Now Leonard has targeted the title, saying: “If we don’t win the league and get promoted, it’s not a failure, but we should always be aiming for the best possible outcome.
“I want to help the club grow and hopefully help to develop the team to a point where it is something the people of Oswestry can be proud of.
“I grew up in a pub in Oswestry and I used to hear all the old stories from ex-players and coaches and it would be great to bring some stories like that back to the town.”
Guilsfield Football Club spokesman Martin Roberts said: “We would like to put on record our appreciation of Lenny’s commitment, efforts and skills in developing our team over the years.”
