NEWTOWN Football Club hosted the North Powys High School annual small sided football tournament last week.
Each of the region’s schools had representative eight a side teams at Latham Park which competed in Year 7, 8 and 9 events.
Welshpool High School came out on top in Year 7 with Llanfair Caereinion winning the Year 8 event while Newtown were crowned Year 9 champions.
Jonny Roberts of Sport Powys said: “It was a great day with lots of kids enjoying themselves and playing football.”
