LLANDRINDOD Wells Rugby Club and the Bracken Trust hosted ‘An Evening with Shane Williams’ at the Metropole Hotel in the town.

Nearly 200 people turned out for the evening with Wales and British Lions legend which was compared by Scrum V analyst Sean Holley and Llandrindod Wells RFC chairman Geraint Edwards.

The event was sponsored by Neil Holder of Adeys Taxi’s and Andrew Mills Tree Surgeon and Sons Ltd.

A special lifetime achievement award was presented to Llandrindod Wells club stalwart John Harris in recognition of his service as treasurer since the club was formed in 1972.

The Rugby Club and Bracken Trust thanked sponsors and people who provided raffle and auction prizes, including Marches Architectural Hardware, PGH Utilities, Ian Ward Carpentry, The Metropole Hotel, The Llanerch Inn, Rhayader Building Supplies, Huws Gray, Boys & Boden, Lakeside Pharmacy, Caerfagu Products, CCF, Animal Healthcare, Hafod Hardware and James Oakley at Meranki.
