Llannefydd 1 Guilsfield 5
CHRIS Cathrall scored four goals as Guilsfield eased to an emphatic victory at Welsh Alliance Two minnows Llannefydd.
Despite making the trip with a depleted squad the Guils never looked back after Cathrall latched onto Danny Barton’s throughball to net on 29 minutes.
The Guils were punished on the stroke of half-time with Bradley Jones rising to head home a corner as the Conwy hosts sensed a cup shock.
However it was all one way traffic after the break with George Clifton restoring the visitors lead on the hour and Guilsfield never looked back with a dominant display.
The remainder of the tie saw Cathrall star with two further goals before capping his memorable display with a sensational diving header from Jake Cook’s last minute cross to emphatically seal his side's place in the next round.
GUILSFIELD: M Jones, Bromley, Cathrall, Clifton, Litchfield, James, Cook, Harries, Barton, Lloyd (Jenkins 70), Parry. Subs: Richards, Rogers
