DOLGELLAU Athletic staged a fightback to prevail 2-1 winners at Aberystwyth University and seal a place in the second round of the ER Jenkins Cup.
Goals from David Edwards and Charlie Owen clinched the Wasps’ second round ticket.
Meanwhile Waterloo Rovers proved a class above in an 8-2 thrashing of Presteigne at Llanandras Park.
Tom Ellis led the rout with a five goal haul while a Scott Holley double and a Ben Marston strike cancelled replies from Jadon Vaughan and Fin Ozsoylu.
Newbridge also progressed with goals from Ryan Powell, Jake Bufton and Aeron Powell settling a 3-2 win at home to Dyffryn Banw who replied with goals from Alwyn Jones and Twm Foulkes.
Meanwhile Forden United have been handed a walk over after Knighton Town conceded their scheduled first round tie.
