Flint Town Utd 3 Penrhyncoch 1

PENRHYNCOCH proved unable to prevent Flint Town United claiming victory at Cae Y Castell.

Flint led inside the opening six minutes with Callum Bratley released by Mark Cadwallader to fire home.

Goalkeeper Leigh Jenkins pushed away a Richie Foulkes strike before the Roosters hit back with a long ball from Jenkins flicked on by Steff Davies for Jonny Evans to lob Jon Danby.

Penrhyn rallied with Davies at the centre of their attacks as Flint were forced to dig deep.

Flint regained their authority with Jenkins denying Foulkes from distance before the same player drilled home a free kick fromm the edge of the area as the Deesiders led early in the second-half.

Flint looked to finish off the Roosters who were grateful to Jenkins for a fine reaction save to deny Bratley on the hour

Bratley struck his second of the game after good work from Kyle Smith with 11 minutes remaining

Bratley came close to completing his hat-trick late on only to be denied by the bar following a surging run.
