LLANIDLOES Town’s Welsh Youth Cup adventure came to an end with an 8-1 defeat at Llandudno.

Zach Evans’ strike proved consolation for the Daffodils with the Seasiders claiming an emphatic victory courtesy of two goals from Dion Lloyd and Morgan Thomas along with efforts from Cynan Edwards, Callum Williams, Alex Roberts and Jordan Pownall.

Aberystwyth Town’s Welsh Cup journey also came to an end with a 2-1 defeat at home to Taffs Well.

Meanwhile Newtown marched on with a 5-0 win at Porthmadog.

Jamie Evans starred with a hat-trick with Alex Morgan and Kai Evans strikes completing a comfortable victory for the Robins.

TNS also booked their progress with Regan Jones netting twice in an emphatic 6-1 win at home to Rhyl.

Lewis Bloor, Will Nevitt, Ryan Smith and Tai Jones completed the goal scoring for the Oswestrians to seal their ticket for the next round.

The draw for the third round of the competition was made in Cardiff on Monday with Mid Wales’ remaining representatives avoiding each other.

Both hit the road with Newtown facing a trip to Caernarfon Town as Craig Williams’ side bid to maintain their promising run in the cup this season.

Meanwhile TNS are also on their travels with the Oswestry club facing a third round trip to Wrexham based side Mynydd Isa Spartans.
