BUILTH Wells twice fought back only to bow out of the cup at home to South Wales League One side Ton Pentre who sealed their second round ticket.
The hosts held their own against their Rhondda Valley visitors until the 26th minute when Leroy Thomas struck beyond goalkeeper Stuart Turpin.
However the Bulls restored parity just five minutes later with Tom Bethell converting a 31st minute penalty.
The tie continued to be evenly contested into the second-half with Price and Richie Powell going close.
The visiting Bulldogs briefly restored their lead on the hour with substitute Robbie George on target only for the resilient hosts to hit back within five minutes through Josh Price.
However Ton Pentre restored their lead straight from the re-start as Thomas completed his brace.
Builth continued to press for a route back into the tie but Ton Pentre remained resolute to seal a place in the third round.
