ABERAERON’S Welsh Cup run came to an abrupt halt at Aberbargoed Buds.
The Caerphilly side broke the deadlock on half-time with Kane Giffard on target and doubled their lead shortly after the break with Owen Thomas netting.
It was all over when Thomas Davies added a third with quarter of an hour remaining.
However Alan Foligno’s side had the final say with Kieron Jenkins netting a consolation with 10 minutes left.
