BRECON Corinthians underlined their cup favourites tag with a 12-0 drubbing of Talybont.

Paul Keddle and Joel Evans shared the limelight with four goals each with further strikes from Damien Daniels, Craig Evans, Gareth Aplin and Nathan Collacott completing the rout.

Elsewhere Guilsfield Reserves just held out in a 5-4 victory at Meifod.

Doubles each from Dan Williams and Dan Barton and a Gareth Mansell goal gave the Guils a commanding lead only for Meifod to stage a narrowly unsuccessful comeback with replies from Lee Wilde, Hywel Bannett, Rob Evans and Jac Roberts.

Tregaron Turfs maintained their unbeaten start to the season with doubles from Cledan Davies and Rhun Garner completing a 4-0 win at home to Llanymynech.

Meanwhile Andrew Jones rolled back the years with the extra time winner as Dewi Stars edged a 2-1 win at home to Felindre who had hit back through John Reynolds to cancel Daniel Williams’ opener for the hosts.

Liam Doherty starred with four goals as Cardigan Town thrashed Dolgellau Reserves 9-0 with a Jac Blackford double and goals from Steve Blackford, James Evans and Steff Evans settling the outcome.

New Quay also progressed with goals Charlie Dent, Ollie Edwards, Jack Chetwynd, Will Davies and Jimmy Jones completing a 5-2 win at home to Llanfechain.

Elsewhere Jordan Dean starred with two goals to cancel strikes from Bartosz Kasperski and Ewan Jones before Graham Dyke struck as Trefonen prevailed 3-2 winners over Llanboidy.

Ryan Hopkins scored all of Llanilar’s goals in a 4-3 win at Talgarth Town who replied through an own goal and strikes from Alex Didenko and Ben Sharman.

Penparcau Reserves strolled to a 4-0 win over Llandrindod Wells Reserves with Jake Bush, Keenan Thomas, Lee Morgan and Gareth Hughes strikes earning their side a 4-0 win.

Meanwhile Jason Davies and Pat Daniel goals sealed Padarn United’s 2-0 win over Welshpool Town Reserves while Leighton Doherty and Rhydian Davies strikes guided Aberaeron Reserves to a 2-0 win over Borth United Reserves.

Adam Chessell and Shane Claridge goals sealed Penybont’s 2-0 win over Llangedwyn while goals from Josh Evans, Jordan Jones, Mason Jones, Gregg Brown and Colin Reynolds cancelled replied from Alex Jones and George Mellor as Llanidloes Town Reserves prevailed 5-2 winners over Bishops Castle.

Gavin Stuart led the scoring with a double in St Harmon’s 4-1 win at home to Corris United with Ceri Powell and Adam Watson also on target.

Meanwhile Sam Williams starred with four goals as Caersws Reserved edged a 4-3 win at Brecon Northcote who replied through Jordan Ingram, Craig Jones and Reuben Rodell.

Llandysul, Llanfair United Reserves and Trewern all received byes after their opponents withdrew while the ties at Bont, Waterloo Rover, Crannog, Maesglas and Newcastle Emlyn were postponed

Llandysul were handed a free passage after Newcastle were unable to raise a side, as was the case with St Dogmaels, who were due to play Llanfair Reserves. Aberporth were also forced to concede their game against Trewern.
