TNS 6 Airbus UK 2

GREG Draper returned to the TNS starting line-up to inspire a comprehensive victory over Airbus UK Broughton.

The Saints never looked back after Billy Whitehouse's 13th minute cross was turned home from close range by Dean Ebbe.

Five minutes later Draper opened his account by firing home via the inside of the woodwork.

It was all over by half-time with Draper converting a penalty on 33 minutes before completing his hat-trick after breaking through a static Airbus defence on the stroke of half-time.

Draper added his fourth on the hour with a fine header from Kurtis Byrne's cross before the New Zealand ace made way for Danny Redmond.

Airbus briefly had cause for cheer with George Peers breaching the offside trap to net with 15 minutes remaining.

However it was only the briefest of respite for the Wingmakers who once again suffered at the other end when Chris Marriott turned home the loose ball after Byrne rocked the woodwork.

Airbus had the final say when Peers capitalised on a trip by substitute Ryan Harrington to break and calmly slot past goalkeeper Paul Harrison for his second late on.

TNS: Harrison, Spender, Marriott, Davies (Harrington 24), Routledge, Ebbe (Byrne 46), Brobbel, Draper (Redmond 66), Hudson, Nembhard, Whitehouse. Subs: Dutton, Mullan, Bailey, Short.
