RHAYADER Town eased to a 3-0 win at Abermule in MMP-NL Mid Wales League Two.
Goals from Jamie Evans, Jack Bright and Tommy Rowlands ensured the Red Kites the points having drawn 3-3 at Aberystwyth University in midweek.
Evans and Rowlands were joined on the scoresheet by Tony Davies while a Dan Swift double and Jamie Stuart strike earned the Students a deserved point.
The Students were also held to a 2-2 draw at home to Churchstoke on Saturday with Pablo De Torres and Swift goals cancelled out by strikes from Sean Wright and Greg Pryce.
Twm Foulkes starred with a double with Llyr Thomas completing Dyffryn Banw’s comfortable 3-0 win at home to Knighton Town.
Meanwhile Newbridge ran riot at Presteigne with Ollie Woods and Sion Herman doubles and goals from Lyndon Jones, Aeron Powell and Kejan Froyzewski completing the romp while Duane Anning reduced the arrears with a consolation strike for the hosts.
Elsewhere Dolgellau’s clash at home to Waterloo Rovers was postponed.
