GUILSFIELD Reserves extended their lead at the top of JT Hughes Montgomeryshire League Honda Division One with a 5-2 win at Maesyrhandir.

Connor Stacey and Dray Rogers struck for the Newtown side but the Guils were not to be denied with a Dan Williams double and goals from Steve Tomkins, Danny Barton and Owen Rothwell clinching victory.

Meanwhile Ben Littlehayes struck twice as Llanfechain prevailed 3-2 winners at home to Newtown Wanderers in Mitsubishi Division Two.

Rob Edwards completed the hosts tally while Wanderers replied through Dave Ash and Ryan Jarman.

Meanwhile Huw Roberts and Jake Andrews starred with a double in Kerry Reserves’ 7-0 romp at Welshpool Town Reserves with Liam Andrews, Tom Jones and Ryan Cook completing the tally.

Ryan Goodwin struck twice in Waterloo Rovers Reserves’ 4-3 win at home to Four Crosses Reserves with Tom Owen and Mike Jones also netting while Jake Edwards, Matt Farrer and Jordan Emberton bagged goals in reply.

Elsewhere Adam Richards was the hero with both goals as Churchstoke Reserves edged a 2-1 win at home to Llanfyllin Town Reserves with James Owen replying.

Meanwhile Will Morris plundered a hat-trick as Llangedwyn sealed a 4-1 win at home to Llanrhaeadr Reserves in the second round of the Boys and Boden Montgomeryshire League Cup while Mark Jones completed the tally with Huw France netting a consolation.

Llanymynech sealed their place in the second round with Callum Whyte netting twice in a 5-2 extra time win at home to Llanfair United Reserves with Gary Ray, Rob Jones and Dan Astley strikes cancelling replies from Lennon Brian and Jack Lewis.
