NEWTOWN travel to Cefn Druids for a Friday night clash with both sides desperate for points to get their top six bids back on track.
The Robins slumped to a 3-2 defeat at home to league leaders Barry Town United last week with manager Chris Hughes feeling his side should have got something from the game.
“In terms of performance I felt it was one of our best of the season but it was a game when every time they went forward in the first-half they seemed to score,” said Hughes.
“I was disappointed as we were the better team in the second-half against the side on top of the league but our first-half display meant it was always going to be tough.”
Druids provide the opposition tonight (Friday) with the Wrexham side, managed by ex-Newtown defender Huw Griffiths, enduring their own testing start to the season, including a fixture at Cardiff Metropolitan being cancelled after the club packed a clashing kit a fortnight ago.
