Nant Conwy 40

COBRA’S testing start to life back in the elite of North Wales rugby continued with defeat at home to Nant Conwy.

Despite leading early on with a try from second row Bryn Edwards the men from Meifod failed to build on their lead as the Llanrwst side stormed back to complete a comfortable margin of victory.

COBRA captain Hywel Jones conceded COBRA had been second best but insisted his side would improve and start climbing the North Wales League One table.

Jones said: “It was a tough day at the office for us.

“We competed well in the forwards and our set pieces were strong once again.

“However we are making far too many basic handling errors and poor decisions at the minute.

“If we can cut these out then there is no reason why we can’t get a few big results in the next few weeks.”
