TREGARON Turfs booked their place in the second round of the Dai Davies Cup with a 4-2 win over Penparcau Reserves.

A Cledan Davies double and goals from Ifan Jones and Daniel Owen won the day for the Turfs with Penparcau remaining in contention throughout with replies from Chris Wylde and Jordann Lee-Perry

Rhys Jones struck twice as St Dogmaels edged a 3-2 win at Bow Street Reserves with Louis Harding also on target to cancel a Guto Roberts double in reply.

Aberporth booked their progress with goals from Liam James, Liam Griffiths, Dafydd Owen and Matthew Smith settling a 4-0 win over Dewi Stars.

Lampeter Town strolled to a 7-0 win over Felinfach with a Gethin Hunter hat-trick and goals from Liam Jones, Jason Jones, Chris Gale and Rhys Bowden settling the outcome.

Sion Vaughan was also a hat-trick hero as Crymych sunk Llandysul 5-1 with Gethin Evans and Oliver Evans completing the tally.

Dolgellau Reserves made light work of Borth United Reserves with doubles from Rod Thomas, Dominic Thomas and Rhys Jones and goals from Chris Jones and Mike Worsell completing an 8-1 rout.

Jack Barron’s hat-trick and a James Fox goal settled Penrhyncoch Reserves’ 4-0 win over Aberaeron Reserves while Osian Thomas and Harry Whalley goals inspired Talybont in a 2-1 win over Aberystwyth University Reserves.

Meanwhile Bont prevailed 5-3 winners at home to Corris United with a Charlie Parr hat-trick and goals from Trevor Jenkins and Daniel Owen sealing the Bridgemen’s progress.

Maesglas overcame Aberdyfi 4-3 with two goals from John Midgley and strikes from Tom Gardiner and Joe Howe cancelling replies from Will Kendall, Tim Holt and George Richards.
