THE next generation of Welsh international football stars visited France last month.
Welshpool's Mike Williams helped form part of the back room staff for the Welsh under 16s visit to the French national football centre in Clairefontaine.
The former teacher served as education and welfare officer and watched the Welsh side draw and lose one game as part of the two match programme.
Williams said: "France are one of the top European youth teams. Itβs always a huge privilege to support future Welsh talents and share their journey.
"The players showed excellent application and a willingness to learn and compete."
