PENRHYNCOCH 2 Colwyn bay 0
PENRHYNCOCH continue to ruffle feathers as the Roosters maintained their bright start to the season at home to Colwyn Bay.
The match had been evenly contested until Ifan Burrel’s 23rd minute free-kick broke the deadlock.
Bay looked to respond with Toby Jones going close before the North Wales side was dealt a major blow when Damian Ketley saw red for dissent on the stroke of half-time.
Despite their numerical disadvantage the Seagulls dominated the second-half but struggled to find a route through a well drilled home defence.
With 15 minutes remaining the Roosters came close to doubling their lead with Tom Evans releasing Jonny Evans who forced Bay goalkeeper Andy Coughlin into action.
Two minutes later the Roosters were not to be denied with Evans feeding Steff Gittins to net and complete victory.
