Penrhyncoch 0
LEE Jenkins was the hero as Penrhyncoch claimed a point at Rhyl.
The Penrhyncoch goalkeeper denied Aaron Hassall, Cai Owen and Steve Thomas before the home side were awarded a 23rd minute penalty after Jenkins impeded Ben Nash.
However Jenkins atoned with a superb penalty save to deny Asa Hamilton.
Jenkins continued his duel with Rhyl by saving Hamilton’s headed effort just before the break.
Penrhyn frustrated Rhyl for much of the second-half with Dave MacIntyre blasting over the bar from 20 yards in their final opening as the Mid Wales side dug in for a battling point.
PENRHYN: Jenkins, T Evans, Morgan, O James, Foligno, S James, Pugh-Jones, Lewis, Davies (Meredith 85), J Evans, Burrel (Rees 74). Subs: Thomas, G Lewis.
