Carmarthen Town 6 TNS 2

TNS suffered an early fright before storming to an emphatic victory at Carmarthen Town.

The defending champions were stunned as Luke Bowen capitalised on an early defensive lapse to net an eighth minute opener before Jon Routledge put through his own net three minutes later.

A galvanised TNS replied as Aeron Edwards swept home Adrian Cieslewicz’ 16th minute cross.

TNS were level on half-time when pressure led to Greg Draper gobbling up a loose ball after Chris Marriott’s shot was blocked.

Draper completed his brace from Kurtis Byrne’s cross as TNS led for the first time five minutes into the second-half.

TNS were now dominant with Chris Marriott heading onto the bar while Draper went close with a long range lob.

Home goalkeeper Tom Windsor was beaten soon after with Byrne lofting home from distance.

Edwads rounded Windsor to complete his brace with 15 minutes remaining before Byrne added his second to complete the scoring as TNS celebrated an emphatic victory.
