The second round of the 2019 Welsh Cyclo-cross league headed to the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells last weekend.

The action was contested on a sprawling course and included riders from across the country.

Builth Wells based Bulls Cycling Club starlets Oscar Iveson and Theo Ryland ended on the podium in the boys under 6s race with Macsen Harris of Abergavenny triumphant.

Hafren CC’s Freddie Roberts claimed second in the under 8s boys race with the Bulls’ Efan Lewis third.

Cian Evans of the Bulls ended fifth in the under 14s boys with clubmate Gaian Hardiman claiming 10th.

Meanwhile Freya Evans of the Bulls ended second in the under 16s girls while Briony Roberts of Hafren ended fifth in the under 14s girls race.

Cycle Tec’s Sam Ryland ended second in the junior men’s class, just ahead of Crossgates based Abergavenny rider Spencer Davies whose father Tim won the veteran over 50s class.

The next round is in Hereford next month.
