MONTGOMERY slipped to a five wicket defeat Albrighton in Henshalls League Two.
Opener Tom Corfield (28) was joined by Charlie Clinton (15) and Ieuan Griffiths (22) before Gwynn Williams (33) guided Monty to 145 to defend.
Alex Parker (4-45) and Adam Shimmons (3-22) proved the pick of the home attack.
Bilal Anwar and Hardeep Kumar led Albrighton’s reply.
Anwar was caught by Rob Bennett off Alex Bromley for 31 before Aaron Ruff-Cock (2-24) struck to dislodge Kumar for a top scoring 42.
Bromley (2-24) completed his haul with the fall of Adam Shimmons (26) before Peter Vale was run out by Griffiths for 12.
However Albrighton were not to be denied with Darren Shimmons (12no) guiding the hosts to 146-5 and glory.
