CARNO staged an upset with a 2-1 extra time victory at local rivals Llanidloes Town to claim a third round place in the Welsh Trophy.

Adam Worton struck for the hosts but cup glory belonged to Carno courtesy of goals from Josh Matthews and Andy Evans.

Meanwhile Llandrindod Wells’ cup run came to an end with a 1-0 defeat at South Wales League side Aberdare Town while Cai Johnson and Charlie Owen goals proved consolation in Dolgellau’s 4-2 defeat at Penrhyndeudraeth who were led to glory through Jack Jones’ double, a Steve Jones strike and an own goal.
