Guilsfield 3
Corwen 3
GUILSFIELD shared the spoils in a six goal 10 a side thriller at home to Corwen on Friday night.
The sides traded blows early on with Adam Jenkins breaking the deadlock for the hosts on 15 minutes only for Ryan Billington to scramble home Scott Evans’ corner two minutes later.
Corwen pulled away with goals either side of half-time with Dale Davies heading beyond goalkeeper Mike Jones on half and hour before completing his brace from Tom Williams’ cross a minute into the second-half.
Guilsfield were galvanised into action and immediately reduced the arrears with Jenkins dispossessing Matthew Williams to net.
Jenkins completed his hat-trick on the hour with a close range finish after Chris Cathrall’s shot was spilled by goalkeeper Dylan Jones.
Jenkins could have added his fourth eight minutes later only to be denied by Jones from the penalty spot with the Guilsfield striker’s night ending on a sour note following his dismissal.
Corwen substitute Tom Mann also saw red at the death as honours ended even.
GUILSFIELD: Jones, Bromley (Cathrall 57), Richards, Ford, James, Litchfield (Rogers 67), Cook, Harries, Davies (Parry 84), Jenkins, Blenkinsop. Sub: Lloyd.
