CRIGGION hosted the latest round of the Border Raceway series last weekend.

The event attracted drivers from across Mid Wales and the borders and continues to grow each year since its founding in 2015.

Llansantffraid husband and wife team Gareth and Lisa Evans organise the series which has so far raised thousands of pounds for charity.

The current series has helped raise more than £2,000 for Cancer Research and continues to collect donations through the series social media.

Since 2015 more than £23,000 has been raised for charity as the series continues its support of good causes.

Organiser Lisa Evans: “Thanks to the Lloyd family of Criggion for the use of their land for the fourth year running.

“”We could not do this without the fantastic support of all the land owners, volunteers, drivers and spectators.

“We have racers start as young as 10 years old to grandad’s and cars from little Micras to Ford Sierra’s

“We thank all from the bottom of our hearts for being there for us from the beginning and bearing with us while we got Border Raceway on the map.

“Border Raceway is continuing to grow meeting by meeting and has a bright future. We are constantly looking for new locations throughout Mid Wales and Shropshire to stage annual events with the proceeds going toward a worthwhile charity of the land owners choice.”
