MARC Griffiths starred as Llanrhaeadr maintained their fine start to the campaign with victory over Rhyl at Tanllan.
Tom Gale tested Rhyl goalkeeper Rory Crowther early on before Ben Nash headed wide for the visitors.
Llanrhaeadr capitalised on a poor back pass from Max Peate as Griffiths stole to slot into an empty net on 21 minutes
Two minutes later Gale burst down the right to cross for Griffiths to complete his brace.
Rhyl were finally galvanised into action and reduced the arrears on half an hour with Aaron Hassall rifling home from 25 yards.
Moments later Steve Thomas fired into the side netting as Rhyl ended the half on top.
Rhyl started the second-half on top with Asa Hamilton spurning an opening before Llanrhaeadr threatened with Tom Evans’ header smothered by Crowther.
Rhyl dominated the closing stages but failed to breach a well organised home defence as Llanrhaeadr held firm to go joint top of the table.
