MONTGOMERY IIs relegation from Henshalls Division Five was sealed by a six wicket defeat at Knockin IIs.
Matthew Jones (55) top scored for the Welsh side with support from Ian Fletcher (24), David Thomas (17) and Tom Hughes (18) before David Jones (13no) guided Monty to 170-8 to defend.
Oliver Dallaway (4-47) and Daniel Morris (2-49) led the Knockin attack.
Dallaway (80no) also starred in Knockin’s reply and joined by Joe Kynaston (35) and Gary Darlington (12) before Rob Yewdall (2-47) struck
However Dallaway was not to be moved and joined by Dave Jones (10no) in an unbroken fifth wicket stand to steer the hosts to 174-4 and victory in the 31st over.
Meanwhile Newtown IIs dug deep to claim a draw at Wem IIs to keep alive their own survival hopes.
Paul Hawthorn (2-49) and Sam Morris (2-37) led the Town attack with David Barnett (84), Ian Gillespie (35) and Russell Mellings (28) joined by Paul Mitchell (29no)in working the scoreboard before Jacob Swanson (2-2) struck to restrict Wem to 219-7.
Dai Brown (36), Ian Hancocks (25) and Matt Humphreys (38) led the Town reply with a bright top order spell.
However a middle order collapse under pressure from Nick Bell (2-16) was completed when Richard Smout fell to Barnett (3-40).
Newtown were not to be denied their share of the spoils with Iwan Smout (2no) joined by Alan Jarman (0no) in an unbroken eighth wicket stand to guide their side to 17-2-7 and a draw.
