BRECON Corinthians continue to blaze a trail at the top of the Watson Financial Mid Wales League South following a 7-0 victory over Llanidloes Town Reserves.

Joel Evans broke Llanidloes hearts with a four goal haul with Luke Roughley, Craig Evans and Dale Evans completing the Rich Field rout.

Earlier in the week Llanidloes overcame Rhayader Town Reserves 3-0 with Mason Jones, Rhys Evans and Kieran Matthews on target.

Brecon Northcote also maintained their bright start with a 3-2 win at much improved Felindre.

Lyndon Bevan and Ieuan Breeze struck for the hosts only for Obo Edwards and Sam Davies to level before Rhodri Boosey struck a late winner for Northcote.

Rob McNamara starred with two goals as Talgarth Town prevailed 5-1 winners at home to Penybont United.

Scott Davies headed the Polecats into an early lead only for the Royals to storm back with McNamara joined on the scoresheet by Scott Powell, Luke Arrowsmith and Harry Sharman who saw red late on.

Meanwhile Builth Wells Reserves toasted a 3-1 win at St Harmon courtesy of goals from Gethin Jarman, Jack Hughes and Ieuan Price with the Swifts replying through Geraint Mathias.

Darren Horrigan’s hat-trick inspired Hay St Marys to a 5-1 win over Rhayader Town Reserves on Friday with Harry Ratcliffe and an own goal completing the scoring while Alan Samuel reduced the arrears.

Earlier in the week Llandrindod Wells Reserves beat St Harmon 3-2 with Tom Evans netting twice and joined on the scoresheet by Kieran McCarley for the Spamen while Adam Watson and Geraint Mathias netted in reply.
