SIX Powys crews took part in the Eventsigns Woodpecker Rally last weekend.
A full entry of 150 crews descended on Ludlow, the penultimate round of the Pirelli Welsh Championship, which included stages in the Radnor forest.
Newtown co-driver teamed up with Ludlow’s Richard Gough in a Vikings Motorsport run ex-works Rothmans Mk2 Escort ended 22nd overall and second in class.
Newtown’s Gareth Edwards and Dylan Andrew marked their first action in a year in a Vauxhall Nova to end 40th, sixth in class.
Welshpool’s Zak Hughes and co-driver Tom Wood ended 52nd while topping the N3 class in a Ford Fiesta ST.
Meanwhile Olly Hunt and Andy Falconer ended 58th and 14th in class in a Subaru Impreza.
Phil Argae and Selwyn Jones ended 72nd, 10th in class in a Ford Escort Mk2 while Ryan Mone and Ian Beamond ended 79th, eighth in class in a Subaru while Tregynon’s Mal Bayliss and Siobhan Pugh failed to finish, retired after stage three
