JORDAN McFadden’s last gasp winner clinched Rhayader Town the spoils in a thrilling 5-4 victory at home to Presteigne in MMP-NL Mid Wales League Two on Tuesday.

Rhayader led with a Tony Davies double and strikes from Aaron Bates and Taylor Wozencraft only for Tom Crichton to net twice in reply with Lewis Jones and an own goal restoring parity.

However the Red Kites were not to be denied with McFadden netting a late winner.

Elsewhere Mike Henderson-Smith struck twice as Forden United returned to winning ways with a 3-0 win at home to Churchstoke with Tom Francis completing the scoring.

Jac Petrie maintained his bright start to the season with four goals as Machynlleth stormed to a 5-1 win at home to Dolgellau on Wednesday.

Sion Jones completed the tally with David Edwards netting a consolation.

Meanwhile Newbridge tore strips out of Knighton Town in a 16-1 thrashing at Penbont Field.

Ollie Woods and Jake Bufton each netted four goals with doubles each from Aeron Powell, Ryan Powell and Kejan Foryszewski.

Lyndon Jones and an own goal completed the rout while Adriano Girolami netted a consolation for the outclassed Robins.

Mattie Davies was the match winner as Penparcau pipped Borth United in a 1-0 win at Min-Y-Ddol.

Meanwhile goals from Jack Weaver, Scott Holley and Andy Gwilt completed Waterloo Rovers' 3-1 win at home to Abermule who replied through Jack Jarman.
