Opener Matt Humphreys was run out by Walker for two before John Anthony was caught by Lewis off Matt Ramsay (1-17) for 10 to leave Town 26-2 in reply.
Ricky Davies (23no) and Ian Hancocks (3no) formed an unbroken third wicket stand to steer Town to 47-2 and glory in the 12th over to cement their place in mid-table while leaving a damaging dent in Pontesbury’s title hopes.
