FELINDRE began their Watson Financial Mid Wales League South campaign with a 2-2 derby draw at home to Knighton Town Reserves.

Goals from Tom Harris and Jamie Reynolds gave the Millers the lead after trailing to an early own goal before Bill Hey rescued a point for the Radnor Robins.

Meanwhile Scott Powell struck twice in Talgarth Town’s 2-1 win at Llandrindod Wells Reserves who replied through Matthew Davies.

Elsewhere Llanidloes Town Reserves opened their campaign with a 3-0 win at home to Builth Wells Reserves courtesy of strikes from Jenson Jones, Adrian Foulkes and Josh Jerman.

Brecon Corinthians marked their arrival in Mid Wales football with a 16-0 thumping of Presteigne Reserves.

Joel Evans ran riot with nine goals with Luke Roughley adding a brace while Dale Evans, Jordan Baker, Adam Tebbitt, Tom Cutts and Joe Cooper also found the net in a one sided contest at Llanandras Park.

Brecon Northcote also toasted a winning start to the season with John Baguley, Kyle O’Shea, Kyron Dillon and Sam Davies goals cancelling Matthew Savage’s opener for the Red Kites.
