ABERDYFI Football Club will look to consolidate upon its return to Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth League One.

The club has strengthened with the arrival of George Richards from Tywyn Bryncrug and Dion Kohler from Machynlleth while the unattached Daniel Rolo also bolsters the squad.

Padarn United will be led by the newly installed Paul James and Chris Foster this season with the club welcoming Aled Middleton and Tom Wilson from Penrhyncoch along with Mike Gilbert and Juan Carlos Segovia who have both moved to the area from overseas.

Meanwhile departing duo Sion Pugh and Robbie Southgate have both joined first division rivals Talybont.

Tregaron Turfs will once again expect to challenge with the arrival of ex-Aberystwyth Town defender Cledan Davies representing the signing of the summer.

Bont and Llanilar are joined by reserve sides from Bow Street, Penrhyncoch and Aberystwyth University in completing the first division line-up.

Meanwhile the return of Corris United has boosted the second division this season.

The Quarrymen return following several years hiatus with a community effort ensuring their facilities and ground ready for the opening weekend.

On the pitch the squad is made up of players hailing from the local area.

Manager Aaron Cottam said: “The team is made up of local lads from Corris and surrounding villages who had to travel elsewhere to play so it’s great to see them returning to play for they’re home side.”

Llanon is the only other first string to compete in the second division with the league composition completed by reserve sides from Borth United, Dolgellau, Llanilar, Padarn United and Penparcau along with third string sides from Penrhyncoch and Aberystwyth University.
