LLANIDLOES made light work of Quatt IIIs with a six wicket win at the Recreation Ground keeping them on track for the title.

Eogan Jones (1-22) and Ioan Swallow (2-29) struck early for Llanidloes before Mark Ward and Josh Shrimpton combined in a 49 run third wicket stand.

Shrimpton fell to Russell Swallow (2-19) before Adrian Foulkes (4-23) struck to spark a Quatt collapse.

Ward pushed Quatt to 89-7 upon his departure, caught and bowled by Ryan Jones (1-8) for a top scoring 34 to leave Quatt to defend 111.

Despite the loss of Ethan Owen, caught by Simon Northcott off Harry Northcott (1-11) for nine the home side made inroads into their target with captain Andrew Jones joined by Lewis Swallow for the second wicket.

Jones was eventually snared LBW by Shrimpton who completed his 2-26 with David Owen caught by Harry Northcott for a top scoring 37.

However Llanidloes were not to be denied with Swallow (17no) joined by Dave Moody (5no) in an unbroken fifth wicket stand to guide their side to 112-4 in the 27th over.
