BISHOPS Castle’s revival came to an end with a 32 run defeat at home to Acton Reynald in Henshalls Shropshire League Four.
Will Evans starred for the visitors, posting a top scoring 79 with support from Jonathan Evans (72) and Tony Preston (23) helping their side to an imposing 222-7.
Simon Palmer (4-45) led the home attack with support from Andrew Lewis (2-53).
Evans (5-24) also led the Acton Reynald attack, completing a hat-trick and a run out to sweep through Castle’s order while including opener Jonathan Price for a top scoring 64.
Richard Langford (31no) offered tail end resistance with Castle falling short at 190-8.
